Villa Chiopris is situated just where the plain meets the eastern foothills of Friuli, where the cool breezes from the north are tempered by the warmth from the nearby Adriatic. It was a noble residence owned until the end of the last century by the Hausbrandt family from Trieste, producers of the famous coffee. During the First World War it was a military hospital, an ideal spot both for its size and location. Today Villa Chiopris has been restored to its former glory by the Livon family to welcome those who want to stay in the heart of the real Friuli. It is surrounded by vineyards from which its own wine is produced. It is a beautiful place to relax, in an atmosphere of bygone days, to appreciate the surrounding countryside, the food and wine and above all the people.
